Interested in the intersections of design, technology, innovation and governance, architecture, city planning, and the application of research in creative public policy.
Works with forward thinking governments and Councils, professional peak bodies and universities, not for profit organizations and communities to connect people to place through process design, smart policy and progressive leadership.
Former President of the Australian Institute of Architects (SA Chapter), Chair of the National Practice Committee of the Australian Institute of Architects, member of the Australian Government’s Built Environment Industry Innovation Council and member of the Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network Management Board. Board member on Australia’s centre for design + craft, the Jam Factory.
Board member of the $75m Co-operative Research Centre for Low Carbon Living; a partnership for innovation in Australia’s built environment that brings together governments, industry and five universities. Three research streams include; integrated building systems, low carbon precincts and engaged communities.
Contributed across design, planning and development as a member of the South Australia’s Economic Development Board Planning & Development Working Group (2011-2012), and the Government Planning and Co-ordination Committee (2010-2012).
Regular contributor to radio & print media on built environment policy, design practice, and design for innovation in government.
